Pastor Hires Prostitutes to Give Them Second Chance at Life

A pastor serving in the African country of Burundi recently shared a blog disclosing that he had hired two prostitutes for the night. Simon Guillebaud, founder of ministry Great Lakes Outreach, wrote that he hired two young women, Divine and Arlette, aged 21 and 22.
The pastor arranged to meet the women at a restaurant, with the intention of changing their lives.
“Their mechanical smiles broke my heart,” Guillebaud wrote in his blog. “I sat down and introduced myself. I told them how I wanted them to have the night off. They could order whatever they wanted, enjoy a hot shower, and then have a night of deep rest. The only rule was not to solicit any of the hotel guests. I would be back in the morning to pay them, and after breakfast together, they could go.”
The next morning, Guillebaud met with Divine and Arlette again; after a night of freedom they seemed more trusting.
“I said I thought that as little girls they didn’t dream that one day they’d grow up to be prostitutes. Sometimes terrible things happen in life, and you’re forced into difficult choices. But maybe things could change – if they wanted to,” Guillebaud wrote.
The pastor learned that they fell into prostitution as a means to support themselves and their families. They were both orphans and used the sex trade to pay bills and for their education.

“I asked them what their dreams were. They said they wanted to run a small business, or maybe go into marketing…I imagined out loud how, if they made good choices from now on, that in ten years – who knows – they could be running a healthy business at the market, happily married with a few kids. Divine’s eyes lit up at the thought. Dared she believe…?”
The pastor planned to meet with the young women again to arrange counseling and get them connected at church.

At the next meeting, “They had a skip in their stride…” Guillebaud wrote. “We talked more, and agreed that they should finish this academic year before starting a business. We made a budget to establish what they needed to keep out of trouble. Divine burst out: ‘No way Simon, there’s no going back, now I have hope!’”
Guillebaud says he hopes to reach more women in the sex trade; his experience was not merely a “stunt.”
“I have dreams of them becoming the inspiration for others if we did this in the coming years on a more consistent basis – the pioneers with a story to show other girls that it is possible to start afresh, that they are not forgotten, unloved, or abandoned.”

Pastor Would Rather Go to Jail than Obey State Mandate to Provide Abortion Coverage

A pastor in California says that he would choose jail time over providing church employees with abortion coverage in their health insurance. Pastor Jack Hibbs is strongly opposed to the state mandate which requires all employers to cover abortion procedures in employee health plans.
Christian Today reports that the pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills has now joined forces with six other churches to challenge the new mandate. The churches hired Alliance Defending Freedom and Life Legal Defense Foundation to argue that the state mandate is a violation of their religious freedom.
Hibbs said, “I felt violated; I felt forced. I love America and I love American history, and I have a lot of invested interest in defending the unborn.”
The pastor said he will stop at nothing to maintain his biblical stance on abortion.
“We will take this to the point of being jailed, if necessary, being arrested, if necessary – whatever it takes,” he said. “I cannot violate my biblical worldview.  Once I have to do that, I no longer live in the United States our founding fathers gave me.”
“God is the engineer of life – he’s the giver of life.  I cannot think of a human being more defenseless than an unborn baby.”

Megachurch pastor plans to live on the streets of Sacramento to raise money for homeless

After he preaches his last sermon Sunday, the Rev. Rick Cole of the Capital Christian Center plans to leave his wallet behind, pick up his sleeping bag and ride light rail to downtown Sacramento.

The dapper leader of one of the region’s largest congregations said he will live like a homeless person, sleeping on the streets and eating in soup kitchens, for up to two weeks or until he raises $100,000 to fund a program that provides winter shelter for the homeless at houses of worship throughout the area.

Cole broke the news to hundreds of worshippers Saturday evening from the megachurch’s broad stage, with its fog machines, colored lights and giant-screen TVs.

“I’m really excited and really freaked out,’’ he said, adding that he’d never ridden light rail before and had stopped shaving two days ago to get ready.

Cole said he thought his quest might have been divinely inspired. It popped into his head a few weeks ago while he was brainstorming with others about how to fund a program that buses about 100 homeless people on winter nights to area churches and synagogues, where they eat and sleep and get help finding work and more-permanent shelter.

The program, called Winter Sanctuary, is led by nonprofit Sacramento Steps Forward, of which Cole is the chairman.

“We’re not supposed to leave (people) out in the rain and cold,” he told his flock.

When Cole mentioned the idea to his board colleagues, he said it immediately sparked excitement.

“There was electricity in the air around that thought,” he told the congregation. “It would be for me to live on the street for a few days, like homelessly.”

Cole’s effort is part of a drive to raise $300,000 for Winter Sanctuary. The pastor hopes donors will go to his website – – and give so that he can go home sooner rather than later.

“The goal is to get me off the street,” Cole said smiling.

Cole said in an interview he knows he faces some uncomfortable and dangerous times ahead. He’ll be giving up his comfortable suburban home, warm bed and “Monday Night Football.”

But he may have a friend or two to keep him company, he said. Among those he’s invited are Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who has not committed yet, Cole said. Jacoby Shaddix, frontman of rock band Papa Roach and a member of Cole’s 4,000-member congregation, has agreed to join him on the streets for a spell, he said.

Other members of the Capital Christian Center have already said they’ll tag along to protect their pastor and keep up his spirits.

Tom Platina, a former police officer who works for the church’s winter shelter program, said he’s going with Cole. He said he thinks the pastor will learn from the experience, seeing “the hurt” of living on the streets firsthand. It will allow him to better continue his role as a leader in providing services to the homeless of the Sacramento region, Platina said.

Cliff Humphries, who has been homeless, thought the pastor’s plan was “a little crazy,” but said “if it’s a God appointment it will work.”

“We believe in the Holy Spirit and angelic protection,” Humphries said. “It’s a learning situation, that’s for sure.”

At Saturday’s services, Cole told those gathered that they were the first to hear of his plans except for a few confidants. The worshippers applauded.

The announcement was part of a sermon urging people to be positive and joyful rather than always looking down on others, and to find meaning in life by helping the downtrodden.

“We like to point out the weak and tell them to get it together,” Cole preached. “Maybe (God is) calling us to help them.”

‘It’s crazy, stupid’, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Breaks His Silence On His Divorce

JUST IN: ‘It’s crazy, stupid’, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Breaks His Silence On His Divorce

Founder of Believers Love World Ministry, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife, Anita have been in the news for two weeks now over their divorce case filed in a London court.

Last week, news emerged that Rev. Anita Oyakhilome, estranged wife of the Senior Pastor of the Christ Embassy Church, Dr. Chris Oyakhilome had filed for divorce in a London court on grounds of adultery and unreasonable behaviour. Later in the week, Rev. Anita is reported to have sworn to go through with the divorce which has scandalised the church for the past two weeks.

Speaking on Sunday evening, September 7, 2015, during the monthly global communion service of the church, Oyakhilome described the allegations levelled against him as “crazy” and “stupid” and urged his church members to pray for his estranged wife.

The pastor acknowledged that divorce was unbiblical and said that he would be considering his options if his wife went through with her plans.

He recalled that Jesus passed through similar travails and eventually overcame. He said that although so many people were making mockery of him, he would remain steadfast and not lose focus.

He said:

“I heard that some media houses – especially in Nigeria – are writing some things against me. All sorts of frivolous charges, that’s crazy.

You have to understand something about a man of God. A man of God is not just someone who worships God or preaches God. A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God, sinning against God.

The only things you might find will be a man of God, maybe in two different kinds of ways. Moses, for example; when he struck the rock twice, [he] was provoked by the anger of the people. [It was] not because he wanted to do something against the Lord. No man of God does something against the Lord.

“Are you hearing me? A man of God is set on a course; there is a type of life that he is given. Then you have a young man, a young prophet; he wasn’t named; he was deceived by another man of God and so he went in a direction that God said ‘don’t go’.

“That is the only kind of thing you find about a man of God when he misses the message of God or he acts beyond what God said. But a man of God settles himself in the fight against the world… like those writing those stupid things about me, that I did this and I did that.

“You don’t know who a man of God is. I don’t go in that direction. I wasn’t accused of the things you said, nor did I commit those stupid things that you said and I don’t need to go into that level in such discussions.

“Jesus Christ was accused by many – a lot of frivolous charges. There will always be those who would like for it to be true. But you know, in spite of the accusations against Jesus, It didn’t change who he was. It didn’t change him.

“There are preachers and there are men of God. I am not a preacher; I am a man of God and I go in the way I’m asked to go. It may cause some troubles with individuals but that’s not because I have done something wrong and when it comes to Reverend Anita, what I will say to you is ‘pray for her’.

“Don’t act like those people. If you are married to a man of God, it doesn’t make you automatically mature. You can make mistakes; you can do something that is wrong. But some people expect the wife of a minister to definitely be at the level of that minister and so they may be looked upon and the expectation may be like that, but it’s a positional thing. “If a man of God is married, it doesn’t automatically mean that the wife of a man of God is therefore a woman of God. That’s not the way it is in the Bible. That’s why you don’t really find the wives of men of God mentioned in the Bible. How many of them? Who was Peter’s wife, did you ever know her name? You never find that out. Who was John’s wife? Did you ever read the name? What about all the other Apostles? How many of their names are written in the Bible. You never find their names.”

At some point in the service, a female pastor asked why the names of wives of men of God were not mentioned in the Bible. Oyakhilome’s response was terse.

‘“Why? You ask God when you find him. Ask God when you find him,” he exclaimed.

“So, they are little things; don’t try to make something big out of them. So when journeying, doing the things that God called us to do, Christians should not have a divorce; it shouldn’t be but you see, that doesn’t mean a Christian may not take the step.

“They may do it but [they] have to make things right and we shouldn’t take one another to court. But when it happens, not that we don’t just want to go, it means someone is taking us there.

That’s a problem, but be wise and stay focused in the word of God and don’t let those who want to feast on things like this, including Christians… “There are Christians who like things like this; they want to make something big out of this: ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, we said it’. You said what? Judge nothing before the time. Be wise. Glory to God.

“So we are not working in sin and living in sin and hoping that we can mix sin and righteousness together. We are the manifestation of his righteousness. We walk in that light only, and that’s the way it’s gonna be.”

The suit, with number FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Rev. Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, among others.

Pastor Chris has reportedly assembled a legal team to put up a defense in court against the wife’s allegations.

Chris Embassy is easily one of the Nigeria’s biggest church denominations with membership in hundreds of thousands and branches all around the world. Since the news of the divorce broke, Rev. Anita’s pictures have been wiped from the church’s website.

A female pastor in the London branch of the church has reportedly been fired because she sought a prayer intervention in the marriage of her bosses.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Sacks Female Pastor As Divorce Saga Continues

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Sacks Female Pastor As Divorce Saga Continues (DETAILS)

The Oyakhilome divorce story continues to be a gift that keeps on giving, for the tabloid media.

Last week, news emerged that Rev. Anita Oyakhilome, estranged wife of the founder and president of Christ Embassy Church, Dr. Chris Oyakhilome had filed for divorce in a London court on grounds of adultery and unreasonable behaviour. Later in the week, Rev. Anita is reported to have sworn to go through with the divorce which has scandalised the church for the past two weeks.

The controversy appears to have claimed its first casualty in the church. Saturday Sunreports that a London pastor of the Christ Embassy Church, simply known as Pastor Grace has been fired by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. The pastor was fired in May 2014 for allegedly putting together a prayer team towards the restoration of the Oyakhilome marriage.

One of the pastors who works in the church spoke anonymously to The Sun, said that Pastor Grace put the prayer team together when Rev. Anita stopped attending church services in the London branch of the Christ Embassy Church.

“We suspected this issue is going to go public some day since the day Pastor Chris sacked Rev Grace for meddling in his family affairs by openly calling for prayers among some members in London when Rev Anita stopped coming to the church she was shepherding while all efforts to get her failed,” the minister said. “Some us believe our colleague in London did the right thing by seeking spiritual help for the family but I think Pastor Chris misread her intention and had to travel to London when he heard of the move to sack her and contain the spread of rumour among members in London.”

The Oyakhilomes have been married for more than twenty years.

How Gospel Singer, Sinach Crashed Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Marriage.

This obviously isn’t the best of time for members of Christ Embassy church both in Nigeria and abroad as the messy divorce between their General Oversea, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and wife, Anita keeps getting dramatic and messier by the day.

However the untold story behind the divorce is what you may not have heard before. According to one of the aggrieved workers (Ex-worker) of Oyakhilome’s Christ Embassy Church at the Oregun branch Parish who spoke with PorscheClassy Media on the condition of anonymity, it was the cleric’s alleged unholy romance with Sinach, a female Gospel singer with the Church that crashed his marriage.

“Pastor Chris’ wife had been unhappy with his rumoured affair with Sinach alongside other issues, while she was away running the affair of the Church abroad.

In a bid to cover up his romance with sister Sinach, Pastor (As they call Oyakhilome) quickly signed her to the “Love World” record label and included her name among his travelling crew, he said.

Report says that automatically gave her the opportunity of travelling far and wide with Pastor’s entourage. Among other sisters in the Church, the manner in which Sinach got favoured by Pastor was what fuelled their romance rumour.

Although Pastor Anita in her claims mentioned adultery amongst other things as the reason she’s filing the divorce suit, one would beg to want to believe that the until Sinach finally got married to her heartthrob, Pastor Joseph, who is a senior Pastor with Christ Embassy; she was often seen in the company Pastor Chris. She travels with him everywhere he goes.

Continuing, the former Christ Embassy pastor went further to say “See my brother, please don’t quote me oh but am telling you this in confidence….Pastor Chris got Sinach impregnated and sent her to London for abortion sometimes ago. I wouldn’t want to give you further details cause obviously the story might be traced to me”.

While our correspondent pleaded with Pastor M (not real name) to give us more details, he said ‘All i can tell you is this: Don’t u wonder why a man of God will have single and hot looking ladies live with him in White house”…..What are they doing there?…..They are not even thinking or planning to get married”.

When our reporter tried to question Pastor M again about how easy it is for Pastor Chris to live alone with the girls and possibly not get tempted based on his supposed high level of spirituality, he replied thus : You’re so funny or are you trying to get words out of me….Anyway, if a man lives alone and he’s surrounded by cute and fresh girls, what do u expect….My brother, Pastor Chris is a man of God and not God of Man oh’ he said.

Meanwhile, a new report says Pastor Chris has denied the adultery allegations levelled against him by his wife and has even threatened to sue any journalist who writes about this again.

Divorce Rumour: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Deletes Wife From Church Website

Pastor chris n wife

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of the Chris Embassy has removed every information about his estranged wife, Anita from the church’s website, DailyPost Reports.

This we gathered is not unconnected with the wind of divorce currently blowing in the family.

TheCable had exclusively reported that the wife, Anita who is also the Vice President of Loveworld Assembly, better known as Christ Embassy has filed for divorce in a London Court over alleged adultery.

Following the shocking revelation, DailyPost ran a quick check on the church’s website ( only to discover that every information about the wife has been expunged.

Previously, the picture of Pastor Chris and his wife, Anita were on the homepage of the website, but following the shocking revelation, the wife’s has been removed from the site.

Reactions From Christ Embassy Members Over Pastor Chris Oyakhilome & Wife Divorce Rumour

Where is Anita

Members of the Christ Embassy are divided over a divorce suit filed against the Senior Pastor of the church, Chris Oyakhilome, by wife, Anita, in a London court.

Oyakhilome is the President of the Believers’ Love World Incorporated, the registered name of the Christian ministry, while his wife is the Vice President.

Some members of the church on a Facebook page, ‘Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome,’ which is believed to have been opened by Anita’s fans, expressed differing opinions on the matter.

On Saturday, one of the church members, Ijeoma Olive Ehirim said, “I am a Christ Embassy member. I hate one thing there: How can a pastor be working together with a lady hand in hand, attending meetings and lodging in a hotel for days. My girlfriend travels with our branch pastor annually for PPCF which holds in Lagos. Only God knows.”

Sharing a similar view, Samantha Iwowo, described adultery as one of the grounds for divorce.

Iwowo said, “Pastor Chris Oyakhilome must have been discovered compromising his marital bed business. It is what it is. God says judgement will start from His house. ‘Touch not my anointed’ is God’s instruction regarding all His children, not an individual nicking, scheming, threatening monies off people’s purses and telling them that salvation is tied to tithes and that seed sowing is only money donation to the church/pastor’s coffers. One down, more to roll. Christ be praised.”

In her post, Chinyere Okechukwu-George, claimed to have left the church when she observed some irregularities.

“I and my family left Christ Embassy for our own good after worshiping there for three years plus and seeing all the things going on under the disguise of church. And I can comfortably say that for over a year now, we have had so much peace in our Christian lives. I don’t care how you view my comment but truth must be told.”

Joseph Osagiede, however, responded saying the Oyakhilomes were still together.

He said, “I have been in Christ Embassy for 12 years. All is totally well with thier marriage. All those wishing them to split and also those going about saying nasty things about the church, be careful.”

Faith Ebunoluwa Adetayo also said, “I have been in Christ Embassy since 1990s and I can authoritatively say some things: I have seen the power of God work, demonstrated in healings and many other things. I have seen how that Pastor Chris is less concerned about mistakes we make.

“He believes that these sins of the flesh will disappear, only if we listen to the word of God. Rather than condemning us, he speaks words of encouragement. And for your information, Pastor Anita is still very much in the ministry and she’s with her darling husband.”

Meanwhile, the Christ Embassy has kept mum on the divorce case.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Accused of “Adultery” and “Unreasonable Behaviour”

The dissolution of the marriage between Christ Embassy Church founder, Pastor Christian Oyakhilome, and his wife, Rev. Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome, has entered the final phase, TheCable can report.  Pastor Chris and Anita Oyakhilome are  undergoing divorce proceedings.

The wife is seeking divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery”. She outlined several allegations against the pastor which TheCable cannot publish for legal reasons. The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence.

Efforts to reconcile the popular couple, whose church is one of the biggest deno

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife

minations in Nigeria and has branches all over world, have failed. They have two teenage daughters, Sharon and Charlyn. Oyakhilome is the president of Believers’ Love World Inc, the registered name of the Christian ministry, while his wife is the vice-president.

The pastor, according to an elder of the church, has denied allegations of adultery and believes his wife was being influenced by “bad friends” who were intent on destroying their home. While Anita believes she has been relegated in the scheme of things in the church, her husband has reportedly accused her of trying to usurp power and authority above her seniors in the ministry.

Sources told TheCable that the pastor had been making efforts to avoid divorce in the hope that the wife would eventually have a change of mind. However, TheCable can also report that the decree nissi was served on the charismatic pastor in his hotel room during a recent visit to the UK. Decree nissi, in legal terms, is like a yellow card in a football match which is a precursor to a red card (“decree absolute”) if no new evidence is provided to stall proceedings.

Church insiders said Oyakhilome had been hoping for rapprochement, but he was left with no option than to receive the papers when the lawyers cornered him at his hotel in London. The decree absolute, which will effectively end the marriage, is expected to be issued soon while terms of the divorce will be worked out by the lawyers on both sides.

TheCable learnt Anita recently wanted to go public with the details of her allegations against the husband but reached an informal agreement to sheathe her sword in the interest of the church.

Oyakhilome is regarded as one of the richest and most influential pastors in Nigeria, and co-authors the fast-selling Christian daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities, with the wife. However, following the strain in the marriage, the wife had been complaining to friends that her husband had stopped the payment of royalties due her from the devotional literature.

“She complained of being deliberately starved of funds, perhaps to bring her to her knees in the belief that she would eventually return to her matrimonial home and mend things,” a church member  told TheCable in the UK.

A wealthy Zimbabwean businessman, who is into telecoms, is one of the biggest financiers of the London branch of the church which Anita pastors along with other branches in Europe. When the crisis got to a head, the Zimbabwean stopped funding the church – some said in solidarity with Oyakhilome, his close friend and neighbour in Johannesburg, South Africa.

However, Oyakhilome was said to have been shocked when the wife announced at a fundraiser that she was sowing a “seed” (donation) of $1 million – despite her assumed lack of access to funds.

Matters got to a head on Sunday, July 13, 2014, when some relatives of Anita locked up the London branch of the church to protest against the “humiliation” being meted out to their sister  who had not overseen services at the branch since November 2013.

Some church members had sometime in May 10, 2014 launched facebook campaign, asking: “Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome?” They said Pastor Chris and Rev. Anita must unite “for the sake of the gospel, the church and their two beautiful daughters”. They quoted Malachi 2:16 in the Message Bible: “I hate divorce, says the God of Israel.” The facebook page, which has over 3,300 “likes”, was opened with a stated mission: “This is a Call to Prayer for all believers who understand God’s heart concerning marriage and a Call to Action by Pst. Chris. DoWhatYouPreach”.

Officials of the church quickly moved to deny any rift between the pastor couple. One official, Kenneth Achumasara, told the media last June: “I can tell you authoritatively that there is no issue between Pastor Chris and his wife, Anita… If you go to the UK now you will see her along with the kids. She is still with him and there is no issue between them. I have been with him for 22 years and the Pastor Chris I know cannot even utter such words as reported.

He will never address such a gathering. She will soon be in Nigeria for a programme and I will definitely invite you to have access to her.”

All efforts to reach the church in Lagos failed last night. Pastor Sylvester Egbodaghe, Editor-In-Chief of the Ministry’s newspaper, National Daily, did not answer calls or reply text messages sent to him.
