VIDEO + AUDIO: Soul’d Out are Out With a Brand New Sound – “Change Like This”

 

The Souled Out Generation is a recording music group established by The Souled Out Centre, towards the last quarter of 2017, and have been working on their debut album since then; presenting a new funky single titled “Change Like This”.

The single – “Change Like This” is their debut single which tells of an amazing work of transforming and changing our lives for good of God and to the amazement of our beholders. It has a funky and upbeat tempo.

The SOG as the group is fondly called is aimed at setting new standards in the style and quality of sound mostly obtained in the gospel music scenery in Nigeria and Africa at large and the SOG did justice with the simplicity and
accuracy of their vocal delivery laced with very skilful and mind-blowing live music.

“Change Like This” is a well-crafted piece of music that will leave you vibing and singing along to, repeatedly.

Unusual Side Of Muyiwa Revealed! Gets Grimey With Guvna B On New Single – “Alade Wura”

 

 

Multi-award winning Gospel artist Muyiwa, has always broken boundaries in his delivery. He is the first and only UK Gospel artiste to sell out the Ocean Music Venue, Hackney, He is also the first and only UK Gospel artiste to sell out the 02 Arena, London. Muyiwa has also topped the UK Jazz and Blues Album Chart for a 5-month period. In 2009, Muyiwa became the first-ever international act to perform on America’s popular entertainment channel, BET, for the prestigious annual celebration of the Gospel show.

It has been 3 years since the distinctive UK Gospel artiste released a work, therefore it is only right that he makes a grand comeback.

Come May 11th, 2018, Muyiwa will release his latest effort titled “Alade Wura”. The unconventional urban music presents Muyiwa in new light, accentuating his return as resplendent due to the unusual style Muyiwa chose for his expression.

Muyiwa has always be known for fusing Conventional Gospel music with Contemporary elements and Afrocentric vibes. Also, he has always been a lover of the Hip Hop genre, therefore he should not come as a big surprise that he is tapping into the genre for a grand comeback.

“Most people are obsessed with trying to create something that fits another people type, another culture. I am doing me. I am British, I am African, I am me,”Muyiwa posited.

He employs the expertise of UK-based Urban contemporary Gospel Rap artist Guvna B to give “Alade Wura” that all-round Hip Hop feel.

“Those who know me know that Hip Hop was my thing and that I was a massive garage head. So for me, it was me reaching back to what I love. Guvna B is like a brother to me and one of my personal favourite artists. We’d never spoken about a collaboration until now.”

Produced by Ghana-based Francis Kweku Osei, ‘Alade Wura’ will be available on all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play.

A DAY OUT WITH PROPHET ISRAEL OLADELE OGUNDIPE

 

There is a general perception that Celestial Church of Christ has a different set of practices which do not align with mainstream Christianity, but one man is changing the paradigm.

Recently, we had the opportunity and privilege to be not only in the presence of greatness but in the corridors of the anointed.  His name is Prophet Oladele Israel Ogundipe.

“Prophet Dele”, as he is fondly called, is the shepherd in charge of Genesis Global, a ministry within the commission of the Celestial Church of Christ. He has been tagged the founder of the model type of celestial church with some urban appeal. The order of service, the atmosphere, the music and the posh- looking church interior and exterior pass off the feel of being in a model Pentecostal church. His style of preaching and belief is far from your typical Cele Church.

Coming from a very poor background and with little education,  Israel Oladele Ogundipe has been able to build a modern Christian assembly that appeals to the young and upwardly mobile. Genesis global has over 10,000 registered members from Nigeria and around the world.

We spent his 43rd birthday with him, family, friends and church members. Woli Dele as he is fondly called in Yoruba by the elderly, who are his parishioners, narrated how he started and what inspired his brand of white garment church during some of our conversations.
